Articles and stories are meant to make you feel things – feelings sell ad space and get clicks. If an article seems too bad (or good) to be true, trust that feeling and investigate further.

  • Look for names & keywords
  • Identify the source’s bias

Weigh the Evidence
of the story:

  • Is the source reliable?

Identify Firsthand Sources
including:

  • Legal Filings
  • Direct Interviews & Quotes
  • Press Releases
  • Original Documents
