The Kern County Library is a place where one can find inspiration, information, and can connect with the community. It is a resource for accessibility to learning, programs, and more! Your contribution helps sustain library resources and service; the Kern County Library depends on your loyalty. Thank you for supporting your library.

The Friends of the Kern County Library, Inc. is a non-profit organization that supports the goal of excellent library service and resources for all the people of Kern County. With used book and magazine sales and through other activities, the Friends of the Kern County Library, Inc. helps endorse programs, the purchase of library materials, funds for the countywide Summer Reading Program, and more. Additionally, there are also local Friends groups for many of the Kern County Library individual branches.

Library volunteers assist staff through Computer Coaching, Skill Sharing, Shelving, and more.

The Kern County Library accepts
monetary donations, as well as books and materials donations.

Donate to the Kern County Library Foundation

The purpose of the Kern County Library Foundation is to raise funds which will be used towards the enhancement and enrichment of the Kern County Library system. If you are interested in supporting the Library, please make your tax deductible contribution payable to the Kern County Library Foundation c/o Kern County Library, 701 Truxtun Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93301. The Foundation is a California nonprofit 501 (c) (3) public benefit corporation (tax I.D. 95-4040808). Donors of $10,000 or more will recognized on the donor wall at the Beale Memorial Library. Donors who donate to other Kern County Library branches will be recognized on the donor walls at that branch, depending on the criteria for that respective branch.
