Website Accessibility Statement

Kern County Library maintains its website to allow general accessibility using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Images on the website include alternative descriptive text to aid users who use screen reading software.

While the majority of the website’s content is published as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), some content is published in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). In some cases, PDF content will have an HTML equivalent. For more information on using PDF files with screen readers, please visit the Adobe Accessibility Resource Center.

While we are committed to making our website accessible to any and all users, we recognize that not all website content may be fully ADA compliant at this time. We welcome comments on how to improve the website’s accessibility for users with disabilities.
