Access.NewspaperArchive.com is the largest online collection of historical newspaper content in the world.  The complete collection contains local newspapers such as the Bakersfield Californian and the Daily Californian as far back as 1892 and over 100 million searchable newspaper pages.  Each image is digitized from the actual microfilmed copy of the newspaper, making it possible for users to view the page exactly as it appeared in the past. This resource is available only at library locations.

ProQuest Digital Microfilm™ provides the actual page images of the Los Angeles Times archived as digital scans that are accessed via the web, enabling multiple users to take advantage of full-image primary resource content inside and outside of the library. By bringing the newspaper microfilm experience online, the Digital Microfilm™ user experiences all of the same features and benefits of a traditional microfilm reader in an efficient virtual environment.
